Dr Peter Floyd together with the NSGGA committee have produced a leaflet on the building stones of Newcastle-under-Lyme. This highly illustrated A3 leafet shows a map of Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre with details of the building stones used, a stratigraphic column showing their age and a glossary explaining the geological terms used.
The leaflet is available for downloading in pdf format here (Adobe Acrobat Reader required) or a free printed version can be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope at least 21cm x 10cm (8.5"x4.25") to Dr. P. Floyd, 5 Betley Hall Gardens, Betley, near Crewe, Cheshire CW3 9BB
