Mark is Professor of Clean Technology in the School of Physical and     Geographical Sciences at Keele University. 


Mark's research is focused on Clean Technology, with a particular focus on making better use of resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions and environmental pollutants, through fuel cells, environmental catalysis and the use of renewable biofuels, particularly animal and vegetable waste. 

He has been involved in school outreach activity and promoting awareness and understanding of science for 10 years, and regularly gives public lectures on renewable energy, climate change and promoting more sustainable energy

Zoe Robinson

Zoe is a  Senior Lecturer in the School of Physical and Geographical Sciences at Keele University.


Zoe's teaching covers a wide range of environmental and sustainability issues for the causes and consequences of climate change to ways businesses can improve their environmental and sustainable performance. Her research interests include the effect of climate change on water resources in glacial  environments  and student attitudes towards environmental citizenship.

Zoe is Keele University's Director for Education for Sustainable Development: Zoe regularly gives ??? And educational talks about sustainable living.

Nicola Ruston

Nicola is the environmental education officer for the Science For Sustainability Group within the School of  Physical and Geographical Sciences at Keele University.

Nicola has a very strong passion for conservation, the environment and raising environmental awareness of students and the wider public through her work. It’s Nicola’s responsibility to design and deliver the Science for Sustainability workshops at schools and events across the county and further afield.

Nicola’s  teaching includes the wide range of workshops we already deliver and specific workshops tailored to schools requirements. Over  the past 6 years Nicola has taken part in numerous projects in Africa and in the UK engaging with communities, raising awareness and  delivery  of  environmental education programmes.
