Set in magnificent parkland including an arboretum and overlooked by stately Keele Hall, Keele University proved an excellent venue for the 2006 SOC Summer School. Keele is centrally located within the UK and enjoys excellent communication links for all types of travel. The University is situated two miles to the west of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire and within easy reach of the M6 & M6 Toll road, M1, A34 and A50 and main line stations at Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent.

The Conference Park at Keele has recently won an award for the quality of its conference management and facilities. Delegates were mainly accommodated in Lindsay Hall (all rooms have en suite facilities) and enjoyed first class catering through out their stay.
